Ok, we promised some free patterns so here is the first one! We’re well into October now, it’s feeling pretty autumnal and halloween is approaching fast! So what better way to embrace it than knit yourself a lovely pumpkin tea cosy?
This tea cosy knits up in an evening or two, depending on your speed, and will look great as a seasonal halloween kitchen table feature! Now its finished, we’re celebrating with a lovely warming pot of Rooibos 🙂
This cosy was designed by Faye at buttonsandbeeswax for a 6 cup tea pot, and the pattern can be found for free on her website, along with many other patterns for cute hats, mitts, cowls and accessories.

I teasch asn after school class in knitting. I think this will be a great “new” project for the students, now that they have mastered, casting on and casting off. The knitting was not the hard part!
