Owl Cup Cosy

Firstly apologies for lack of blog posts recently! November has proved to be a very busy month so far, however, I’m back with another cup cosy knitting pattern to share with you.

Today’s free knitting pattern is the lovely Owl Cup Cosy, designed by Sabrina Thompson, who blogs at My Knitting Basket.

The cup cosy is knitted in the round on 4 needles in aran yarn, and would be a good project for knitters new to cables or using double pointed needles.  The finished size is approximately 4″ tall and will fit a 16oz takeaway cup.

We think this would be a great Christmas gift idea! It’s a quick pattern to knit and a fab present for anyone who likes their daily dose of takeaway tea or coffee.

The eyes in the top photo are sew on, and available in Sabrina’s shop, where she ships worldwide for free.

I’ve been drinking a lot of Organic Sencha Green Tea with Lemon recently – it’s really refreshing and a great healthy alternative to coffee to get you going in the mornings.  And it leaves you with a lovely lemony taste in your mouth!
