Hobbit Cottage Tea Cosy

Oh my gosh how cute is this little Hobbit cottage tea cosy?

This weeks free tea cosy pattern comes courtesy of Hannah Tunnah at Have a Yarn, an independent yarn shop in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The pattern is knitted on 5.5mm needles using heavy worsted weight yarn, and is worked from bottom up.  The variation in colours is great for using up old yarn in your stash.

The pattern makes use of several embroidery stitches to decorate the cottage, so if you’re not familiar with duplicate stitch, back stitch, outline stitch or French knots then this is a good opportunity to give them a go.

The pattern can be found on the Have a Yarn website for free.

Tea wise this week I haven’t been able to get enough of the Cosy Organic Blueberry & Echinacea Infusion, bursting with Blueberry, Echinacea, Hibiscus & Rosehips, it’s a great little caffeine-free pick-me-up in the afternoon (and it’s natural sweetness stops me reaching for the sugar too).  Delicious!
